The Dying Sun

from Leaving Tomorrow by Leaving Tomorrow

/

lyrics

“On Sundays I awaken from dreams of times to come
And then again, in deep regret, awaken my own dawn.
The morning shines in delight and though the time is close,
The cloudless sky reveals no sign to anything that grows.

Leaving makes it so hard to be around.
Delaying but time can never be enough.

My path was long but graceful, my solar reign untouched;
My warm caress this very day now proves to be my last.”

The dying sun is smiling and though he’ll shine no more,
A time will come of future past to light again this world.
